well, the answer is NO.

You can't upgrade or migrate your RHEL 5 to RHEL later releases.

Red Hat does not support upgrading directly from RHEL 5 to RHEL 7.

 However, if you intend to move from RHEL 5 to RHEL 7 by backing up your data and restoring data on a fresh installation of RHEL 7
